My Favorite Beauty Products of 2017!
Happy New Year, everyone! I wanted to ring it in by sharing my favorite beauty products of 2017! I’ve been using the majority of these makeup, skincare, and haircare products on a regular basis and swear by them. Let’s start with makeup!

Best Lipsticks I recently discovered these two lipsticks. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my mom gifted me a nude lip kit from Sephora. Here are two of my favorites from the set!
Bite Beauty Multi-Stick– This is my first experience with Bite, and it certainly won’t be my last. So far, I have only used it on my lips, but you can also use it on cheeks and eyes! The formula is sooo smooth and silky while still maintaining a matte appearance. I cannot wait to try more shades!
Liquid Velvet– The perfect nude plum hue of this matte lip cream from Ciate London will never get old! It provides the perfect amount of color while moisturizing my lips. Right now, it is my current fave lipstick!
Here are the other lippies/shades from the nude lip set. I love them all as well!
Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick
Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Lipstick
Buxom Full On Lip Cream
Tarte Color Splash Lipstick
Best Eyeshadow Palettes Project pan in full effect! First up is the Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette. I have created limitless everyday and night-out looks with this palette. The range of shades is incredible, and pigmentation is perfect!
I also love Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. The shades are super buildable and easily take you from day to night!
Best Mascaras I spent many years only using this Chanel mascara, and I still love it. But I got tired of always paying for it! Covergirl Super Thick Lash is a great dupe for it. Read my review here!
Also, if you’re a fan of Better Than Sex Mascara and haven’t yet tried L’Oreal Lash Paradise, you HAVE to. I have been using it on a daily basis, and I like it way better than BTS! (Read my review of BTS here. Since writing the post, I noticed BTS has a tendency to flake, so I never repurchased it.)
Best Concealers and Foundations While I didn’t picture my favorite foundation in the graphic above, it is L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow. It provides a healthy glow and covers imperfections. I use it in conjunction with Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer for my eye bags and circles and Maybelline’s Master Conceal for stubborn imperfections and extra dark undereye circles. They each really brighten up my face!
Best Beauty Sponges In 2017, I began using the original beautyblender. A dampened beautyblender provides such even and beautiful coverage that I don’t think I’ll ever reach for a foundation brush again! However, they can get a bit pricey, and a lot of the other brands are just a complete waste of money. Either they lack the bouncy texture or don’t blend well at all, so I gave up looking for a dupe. That is…until I tried this Morphe Beauty Sponge! It’s less than half the price of the original beautyblender and does the job just as well, if not better! If you haven’t given the Morphe sponge a whirl yet, I highly suggest you do! Also, if you hate paying the high price for sponge cleaner, you have to check out my $1 solution! It works for brushes, too!
Best Setting Powders Although I also occasionally use this NYX powder, I think I like Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder even better! It’s very light and doesn’t make me feel like I am breathing in a bunch of makeup as I dust it on. Plus, a little goes a long way, and it doesn’t look cakey at all!
I also need a little setting powder under my eyes to keep my mascara from transferring, and I can’t live without Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder! Plus, it contains Vitamins C and K to help revitalize my tired eyes!
Best Highlighter of All Time If you don’t use a highlighter you completely love, just stop using it and go get Becca Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector. I use the shade Opal, and it provides a gorgeous, healthy sheen. Plus, it blends almost effortlessly because the formula is so light, so anyone can wear it!
Best Nail Polish Going to the nail salon is so 2016. Well, okay, I still visit the salon for my toes, and probably always will. But this Essie Gel Couture line has definitely changed my mani game! In fact, I am wearing it as I type this. The color is very hardy and lasts at least 7 days. If I didn’t have to wash my hands so much taking care of my littles, I am almost positive it would last me the full 14 days! The best part? I don’t need to visit the salon to remove it! You can read my review here.

As a self-professed skincare addict, I am very excited to share my top picks with you. With so many different kinds of skincare products out there, it can be hard to choose! But since I use each and every one of these, I can take some of the guessing out of the game for you.
Best Cleansers Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser leaves my skin feeling like the dew after a brief mist. And in my opinion, it actually feels like a cloud against my skin during cleansing! I reviewed it here.
When I don’t feel like drenching my tired face before I crawl into bed, I use Simple Water Boost Sensitive Skin Micellar Cleansing Water. Hydration is key to younger looking skin, and it’s great to give your skin a little extra moisture boost before you sleep. Plus, this cleanser provides a layer of essential oils and minerals before I apply my serum and moisturizer because I don’t have to rinse it off!
Best Body Moisturizer I can’t stop and won’t stop using Curel’s Hydra Therapy lotion. It saves me time because you apply it right after your shower, while your skin is still wet, which makes for fast and effortless absorption. Plus, it leaves my skin soft and smooth the entire day!
Best Toner At my once-a-year facial (I really need to do them more often!), the aesthetician recommended Dermalogica Antioxidant Hydramist to help keep my skin quenched and prevent new wrinkles. I use it as a toner after cleansing, to set my makeup, as a moisture boost throughout the day… It has honestly improved the quality of my skin immensely. You can use it in mist form or spritz it on a cotton round to treat skin.
Best Lip Treatment Thank goodness for Rodan + Fields Lip Renewing Serum. I always used to wake up to painfully dry lips, but once I started applying this lip serum before bed, those days were gone! I have this product on auto-ship so I never run out of it. You can read more about Rodan + Fields in my reviews here and here.
Best Everyday SPF Moisturizer I reviewed this NeoStrata Refine Sheer Hydration SPF 35 earlier in the year, but I still use it daily. I love the fact that it has a good amount of SPF, but most of all, I love the formula. Catch more details in the review!
Best 5 Step Anti-Aging Skincare Routine Have you ever tried a comprehensive 5 step skincare routine? Saranghae, a Korean skincare line, provides an amazing bundle that includes cleanser, sheet masks, eye cream, serum, moisturizer, is seriously the BEST. I f I can’t use all 5 products in one session, you can bet I’m using at least 2 of them. My favorite? The sheet masks!! Learn more in this review.

I just recently highlighted my hair after years of having it natural. I just needed a change. Here’s what I’m currently loving!
Aveda Blue Malva Shampoo and Conditioner Aveda develops their products under a rigorous set of environmental stability values, which is a major plus! But aside from that, this shampoo and conditioner neutralizes any brassy tones (in any shade of hair!), and the blue malva and coneflower help restore moisture without being heavy.
Aveda Damage Remedy Shampoo I have super fine hair, but this Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it too soft. I use it every other wash to keep my hair extra healthy! Plus, I love the earthy smell.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray Although you can use this Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray as a dry shampoo, I pretty much wash my hair daily. So I use it to add lift to my fine hair. I simply spray it into my roots or anywhere I need extra body, and it instantly fixes my ‘do. And I have never smelled anything so good in my life! This hair product is an absolute must-have for me and will always be one of my favorite beauty products.
L’Oreal Paris AIR DRY IT Undone Style Cream I rarely blow dry my hair. I just can’t be bothered by it at this time in my life. So whenever you see photos of my with my hair down, I most likely air-dried it using L’Oreal Undone Style Cream as an agent. This product allows me to feel polished without any effort. And this one smells good, too!

Glad it’s helpful! Be sure to pin it!
A lot of great info
Thanks!! Hope it’s helpful!
I loved reading all your choices, Jackie. Some fantastic picks here that I haven’t tried.
Thank you! You’ll have to check them out!
Some great suggestions, I was looking for a new blender too!
I can’t believe how well the $7 one works. Not sure I will buy the more expensive one again, but we will see how the cheaper one holds up. Xo
I’ve heard so many great things about the Morphe sponge, I use the real techniques beauty blender and its great. Omg, I love the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow, it leaves my dry skin looking dewy and flawless. My only complaint is that they need more shade ranges. I’m going to have to look into the Lip treatment! Great list Jackie!
Oooh are you able to mix two different shades? I agree- it leaves me dewy, and no one can believe I wear a drugstore foundation when I tell them. I haven’t tried the Real Techniques! You have piqued my interest!
Omg you’ve picked some lovely products!
I can’t live without them!
These all look amazing, I haven’t tried any of them yet. I am so keen to try the age rewind concealer everyone raves about it.
Oh yes, you have to! It has the perfect amount of yellow tones to brighten the eye area.
What a lovely selections! ☃ ❄
