What I Bought from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020

I wish I could say shopped in-store and had tons of try-ons to show you, but not this year! I ordered everything online this morning when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened up to all cardholders.

Many items I had on my wishlist were already sold out by the time I got to shop the sale. (Now I know to use my card more so that I can achieve a higher level and shop the sale sooner!!) So I hunkered down and focused on basics and necessities and quickly added to cart. I didn’t want to risk missing out on anymore!!

The North Face Water Repellent Winter Parka

My current winter coat has been so good to me, but I’ve had it for two years, so I planned on purchasing something new for the upcoming winter. Once I laid eyes on this The North Face parka, I knew it would be the first thing I’d add to my cart.

The North Face has such a good reputation, and because I hang out outside for hours on end with my kids, I need to make sure I’m warm and comfortable.

Although I wanted the parka in black, the size I wanted was sold out. So I settled for navy blue.

Size ordered: Large. I’m almost 5’10” and have long arms and a larger bust. I almost always order a large in winter coats, especially since I usually layer them over sweaters and other layers.

Sale price: $224.90; Price after sale: $320

Hunter Rain Boots

I’ve been severely in need of rain boots for years!! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been caught in the rain running errands. I’m so tired of sloshing through the puddles in my Converse.

So, because I’ve waited so long, I decided I’d better go big or get wet. Hunter makes the best rain boots in the biz, so I chose these cute leopard print ones! Gotta #stayCHIComfy

Size Ordered: 11 (hope they fit 🤞 )

Button-Up Cardigan in Black

If you can believe it, I don’t have a black cardigan. Now I will!

I particularly love the length, pockets, and buttons on this Treasure & Bond cardigan. It also comes in oatmeal, olive, and charcoal.

Size Ordered: Small. The website says it runs big.

Sale price: $49.90; Price after sale: $89

Cozy Longline Beige Cardigan

I love wearing neutral cardigans! Cream and beige are my fave! Since I already have a cropped cardigan in my wardrobe, I went for this long one.

I’m excited to wear it over camis and tees or over my pajamas around the house! Oh! It comes in other colors, too!

Size ordered: Medium

Sale price: $39.90; Price after sale: $69

BP Basic White Scoop-Neck Tee

Can you every have too many good white tees? I’m a definite sucker for them!!

BP makes great basics, so I snatched up this scoop neck tee in white, but it comes in 3 more colors!

Size ordered: Medium. BP usually runs TTS.

Sale price: $11.90; Price after sale: $19

Quay Cat Eye Sunglasses

I’ve been looking for a new pair of cat eye sunglasses that don’t break the bank. Aren’t these Quay Australia sunnies so cute? I’ve never tried the brand, so I’m really anxious to get these!!

Sale price: $35.90; Price after sale: $55

Black Oversized V-Neck Pullover

This oversized v-neck pullover sweater is so cozy-looking! I’m going to wear it with the jeans I bought (below) and also with leggings!

This sweater has a high-low cut to it. I can’t stand the coziness! Maybe I’ll camp out near my front door until UPS pulls up with my delivery 🚚

It also comes in 4 other colors!

Size ordered: Medium. The site recommends that you order a size down if you like a closer fit. (I did not.)

Sale price: $45.90; Price after sale: $69

Madewell High-Waisted Boot Cut Jeans

I am a firm believer in this: High-waisted jeans/pants/bottoms are the most flattering. I cringe at my college days when I wore jeans that barely passed my hip bones.

So I HAD to grab these Madewell high-waisted jeans. The button-up detail sold me before I could buy them. I hope they fit!!

Size ordered: I bought my usual size (27).

Sale price: $84.90; Price after sale: $128

Oribe Hair Texturizing Spray + Dry Shampoo Duo

The last time I owned this texturizing spray, I had a brand new bottle confiscated from my carry-on at the airport. (Cue tragic music.). I don’t know how I let the fact that the bottle contained way more than 3 oz slip my mind.

I’ve tried so many hair products since then, and I can truly say that the Oribe texturizing spray is the only thing that can really satisfy my hair needs. It gives my fine hair major life and hold, and it smells SO GOOD.

I’m excited for the dry shampoo, which I have never tried!!

Sale price: $64; Price after sale: $94

Metallic Chenille Throw Pillows for My Bed

Earlier this week, I ordered this white comforter for my bed, but I knew I still needed some throw pillows. So I got two of these chenille throw pillows in white and one in gray!!

I just saw that these pillows are sold out as of today. This morning, they had white, gray, and blush pink in stock, so hopefully they will be back.

In conclusion

This Nordstrom sale is just the perfect time to stock up on high-quality essentials. In my opinion, it’s not wise to go for super trendy items or things like graphic tees. You can get cheaper ones from other places that are just as good!!

Happy Shopping!!
