Weekly Outfit Recap #6
Here we are again, in the midst of in-between, up-and-down, volatile temperatures! I am really ready to dive head-first into my fall wardrobe, but Mother Nature has other plans for my outfits! I have had to layer and un-layer, wear shorts, sandals, sneakers… Pretty much anything in my closet is fair game right now!
I hope these casual outfits inspire you to get through transitional weather in style!
Outfit #1

This outfit is one of my favorite kinds because it has fall vibes but also indicates mild temperatures. (I hate winter.) I took my color block cardigan off and put it back on all day long! But the peplum top I wore underneath is stylish enough to wear alone, so my removing the cardigan did not compromise my style Phew!
Fit tips: I did size up to medium in the peplum top because I am tall and have a larger bust. I didn’t want it to be too short on me! I bought a small in the cardigan. (I often wear a small OR medium in most tops.)
Outfit #2

Everyone needs a good slouchy tee, and this one is amazing. This exact shade of green is sold out, but there are many other colors to choose from (linked above)! You do need a tank top or bralette underneath, so keep that in mind.
My ombré boyfriend shorts are under $17 and perfect for early fall!
Fit tips: Free People runs a little large. I am wearing a small in the tee and it’s still perfectly oversized. I’m wearing my normal size in the shorts! I love the roomier boyfriend fit.
Outfit #3

More leopard print, I know! V-neck tees are my go-to, and I love that this leopard tee is grey. It makes it a little unique! Wear it alone or use it for layering!
I just bought these mom jeans, and I can safely say they are my current favorite jeans! They are cropped, which is great for fall, and I love the pinstripe. The details definitely upgrade these jeans from basic to interesting, which is the perfect feature for busy gals who don’t have much time to think about what to wear each morning! Just grab and go!
Add some metallic loafers, and you’re as chic as can be.
Fit tips: I bought a small in the tee, but I also could have gotten a medium. I am happy with the way the small fits, though! The mom jeans run true-to-size. I am usually a 4 or 6 and I bought a 4. So keep that in mind if you bounce between sizes.
Outfit #4

Lots of my favorite things in this outfit: camo x 2, black leggings, and sneakers. That makes for one happy mom outfit!
If you’re looking for the perfect camo tee, this one is it! It also comes in classic army green! It’s super soft, is long enough to wear with leggings, and you can wear it knotted or not.
These black leggings are so buttery soft and high-waisted- two of my requirements for leggings!
And everyone needs a good camo jacket. This exact one is no longer available, but it’s made by Lucky Brand. I linked two other LB camo jackets above!
Fit tips: The leggings come in “one size,” plus size,” and “medium plus size.” I bought the OS option and am very happy with them. As I said earlier, Free People runs large, and I am wearing a small in the camo tee, with room to spare!)
Outfit #5

The moment I saw this tee, I had to have it! It is a brighter shade of pink than I would usually go for, but the graphic is awesome. You know what’s ironic, though? I feel like I am the one listening to everyone and no one listens to me! LOL #stayathomemomstruggles
I bought this lace bralette in like 4 colors. I love that I don’t need to wear a bra under it, as I usually do. It has awesome support!!
Fit tips: I believe the tee is a juniors’ size. I bought a medium and am very happy with the way it fits! It’s relaxed but not too loose. The mom jeans run true-to-size. I am usually a 4 or 6 and I bought a 4. So keep that in mind if you bounce between sizes.
Outfit #6

My embellished military jacket is from a few years back, but I am in LOVE with this leopard print one. Should I get it?! I’m drooling over here!! Okay..you talked me into it!
The camo leggings are another Amazon win. Doesn’t the side stripe detail just add so much?! They are buttery soft and I love them.
Fit tips: I bought the “one size” option in the leggings. If you’re going for the Free People jacket, size down one or two sizes. I am going to buy a small, and it’s still going to have that oversized look I love!
Until next week! xoxo
