The Best Online Fabric Store
I’ve loved fashion ever since my preteen years. I used to flip through the pages of Vogue and Elle religiously, hoping to one day have a personal relationship with haute couture. Haute couture is so exclusive, elegant, and ornate, so I hoped to walk it down the runways or maybe even create some designs myself. A girl can dream, right?! My career and life paths brought me to other places, but I still daydream about being in the business. (You’re never too old to work towards your dreams!) While my dreams of the runway are fading, there’s no stopping me from getting into fashion design. And if that someday happens, I know the best online luxury fabric store to use.

Tissura is an online fabric store that specializes in luxury fabrics, trimmings, accessories, and anything I might need to make my fashion design dreams come true! The store works with top fabric suppliers who work with the greatest of fashion houses. Ah-mazing!
TISSURA works with the leading European manufacturers, such as Sophie Hallette (France), Riechers Marescot (France), Jakob Schlaepfer (Switzerland), Scabal (Belgium), Ermenegildo Zegna (Italy), Holland & Sherry (Scotland), Ruffo Coli (Italy), Luigi Verga (Italy), Carnet (Italy) – the suppliers of such renowned fashion houses as Chanel, Christian Dior, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and many others.

Can you just imagine that luxury lace fabric with a few of these sparkly embellishments?! Sigh… Totally haute couture. I’m in love with this place!

Tissura carries fabrics for both women’s and men’s fashion. And the online store literally has fabrics for any occasion and season. That’s because they specialize in fabrics of countless compositions, such as:
- cotton
- linen
- silk
- viscose
- wool (I could use a haute couture winter coat that makes a statement and lasts forever!)
- alpaca
- blends of any of the above
Tissura carries buttons of many styles, shapes, and materials (I would go for the floral buttons, of course.) And they leave no detail unnoticed, because they offer premium closures, as well as fun trimmings that could make the design totally mine (in my dreams, for now). Here are some examples:
- embroidered trims
- feathered trims (swoon!)
- lace trims
- embroidery
- ribbons
So where would I begin, and what fabric would I choose for my first hypothetical haute couture design?

Gracious, me, this is a hard decision. While adore the wedding dress design in the below image, I am already married. I could certainly change the color to blush pink and create a haute couture gown for the ages!
But considering the current point in my life (Hello, motherhood and not being a princess.), I might go for more of a haute couture cocktail dress similar to the one below.
I love the silhouette so much. How fun is it?! But I think I would choose to overlay a plain blush pink fabric with some tulle like this. It’s technically a prom dress fabric, but I love the embroidered bows, and I could add a larger real bow (using fabulous ribbon) in place of the cute detail in the design above.
But like I said. I am not a designer, and this is all in my dreams. 🙂 Maybe Tissura Online Fabric Store will help me fulfill them some day!
Take a look at Tissura’s selection and let me know what you would choose! Do you like my idea?

I agree. Thanks!
Such great fabric choices! I think you’d be a great designer!
They have a beautiful selection. And thanks! I appreciate it.
These fabrics are absolutely beautiful! A college friend of mine was interested in fashion design, but ended up becoming a fashion illustrator and worked in Milan and Paris and places I can only dream of. If a girl from Memphis can get into the industry I’m sure you’ll find your way front and center.
Oh that’s so amazing. Thanks for the words of encouragement!
