3 Looks with Makeup Revolution Girls on Film Salvation Eyeshadow Palette
A gorgeous eyeshadow palette for $10? Yes, please! I am a Makeup Revolution newbie, but I won’t be a stranger to it anymore! As I was browsing the endless aisles Ulta for the perfect nude lipstick, I stumbled upon this Makeup Revolution Girls on Film Salvation Eyeshadow Palette. I couldn’t resist the beautiful selection of shades or the ridiculously low price, so I snagged it to find out if it was really as good as it looks. I have provided tutorials for 3 different looks. (Caution: Lots of photos included!) Please let me know which one you like best!

The longer swatches are the shimmery shades. I swatched from the rectangular portions of the palette in columns beginning with the top left shade (bottom of my arm), so there are 6 pairs of 2. The smaller matte swatches are from the entire bottom row of circular portions of the palette and are featured from left to right (bottom to top on my arm).
- The palette contains 18 highly-pigmented shades. Twelve of these shades are shimmery, and 6 are matte.
- The wide range of neutrals mixed with smokey, sultry shades provides endless combinations and possibilities.
- There is something for those who prefer sparkle, as well as those who prefer matte looks.
- The eyeshadow is suitable for all occasions, from everyday to black-tie affairs.

Note: For all 3 looks, I used an eyeshadow brush, not the sponge-tipped applicator that came with the palette.

1. BASE

2. CREASE
- 3. ADD PURPLE SHADE TO OUTER CORNERS
- PURPLE SHADE ON OUTER CORNERS

4. HIGHLIGHT UNDER BROW BONES AND ON INNER CORNERS OF EYES

5. ADD BLACK EYELINER TO TOP LASH LINES AND 1 COAT OF MASCARA
The purple really adds a bit of intrigue to a normal everyday look without overpowering, and the placement of the colors really opens up the eye! (Also, it is good to note how different lighting affects the look.)

Note: You can definitely make this eye smokier by using the darker grey shades and adding more eyeshadow in general. I did wear this look during the day, but it’s definitely darker than what I would normally wear.

1. BASE

2. CREASE

3. ADD CHARCOAL SHADE TO OUTER CORNERS TO REALLY OPEN UP THE EYES

4. HIGHLIGHT UNDER BROW BONES AND DAB ON CENTER OF LIDS TO ADD DIMENSION. Note- I used the matte beige under brow bones to offset the shimmer in the rest of the look.

5. ADD BLACK EYELINER ON TOP LASH LINES + A LITTLE ON OUTER BOTTOM LIDS AND 1 COAT OF MASCARA
This is definitely at the natural end of the smokey spectrum but feels fancier than the everyday look I showed you above.

I have to say I never go for mattes, so I am shocked by how much I like this look! I would definitely wear it again.

1. BASE

2. ADD MAUVE SHADE OVER OUTER HALF OF BASE FOR DIMENSION
- 3. ADD BROWN IN CREASE AND OUTER CORNER. BLEND UPWARD
- BROWN SHADE IN CREASE AND ON OUTER CORNERS
- 4. ADD LIGHT BEIGE TO CENTER OF LID TO BRIGHTEN THE EYE.
- ADD LIGHT BEIGE UNDER BROW BONE.

5. ADD BLACK EYELINER TO TOP LASH LINE AND SMUDGE SLIGHTLY. ADD ONE COAT OF MASCARA ON BOTTOM AND TOP LASHES.

I used a bright lip to balance out the neutral eyeshadow and enhance the mauve tones.
This Makeup Revolution Girls on Film Salvation Eyeshadow Palette is worth every penny of my $10. It is extremely versatile and wearable, with a wide variety of highly-pigmented shades.

you do an awesome job with these posts! I love how on the pallets you actually label which color you use on which spot, thats so helpful!!
I gotta say the first look is my favorite, it looks all natural and thats typically my go-to look. this makes me want to start experimenting with eye-shadows more.

Thank you! I am glad I was helpful- I feel that it is much easier to visualize or copy a look when everything is right there in front of me. I like the first look as well. Thanks for reading xo
Okay now I have to go out and get me this palette! I love a good deal when it comes to makeup. I was concerned they might not be as pigmented as I like, but then you did the second look and I was sold.
Thank you so much! It took forever to take all the pics ha but hopefully it helps or inspires someone. Thanks for the share. I followed you!
