Fashion Trends to Try in 2019: Part 1

I have always enjoyed keeping up with the fashion trends, but it sure can be exhausting! Some trends tend to evolve frequently, while others stick around for a few seasons (i.e., gingham). One thing’s for sure, though. Once people catch on to a trend, the style takes the world by storm via magazines, Instagram, and other media. In an effort to streamline all of this fashion information for you, I have chosen 19 fashion trends to try in 2019! How fun is that? I’ve got the first 6 for ya!

19 Fashion Trends to Try in 2019

1. Flowy Bohemian Dress

I’ve seen a lot of bohemian dresses popping up in the spreads of fashion magazines. They are perfect for spring, and this year, the flowier the better! To me, boho dresses are a breath of fresh air. Check out 6 of my top picks below!

2. Faux Fur on Faux Fur on Faux Fur

I think it’s safe to say that faux fur isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Sooo to keep things interesting, why not pile it on! While browsing the latest issue of Harper’s BAZAAR, my eyes caught a beautiful spread of fur outfits. Think: a fur hat with a fur coat and fur boots! I’m amazed by the fact that it all worked and didn’t look overabundant. Here are some on-trend, yet classic faux fur pieces.

3. Feather Embellishments

All the fine-cut feathers I’ve been seeing are so cute! In fact, I wore a feather-trim LBD on New Year’s Eve! But feathers are not just for dresses. You can don sweaters with clusters of feathers, walk in shoes that hug your ankles with feathers, or carry a feathery bag.

4. Statement Necklaces

Want to know what’s neat about this trend? You can wear statement necklaces with feathers, like this one! Two fashion trends in one! I’ve been seeing so many collar statement necklaces lately, and I handpicked some faves for you. (Hint: One of them combines a 2019 fashion trend I will tell you about in my next post! Can you figure out which one it is?!) You can dress up casual outfits with these statement necklaces or amp up an already dressy outfit!

5. Popcorn Cardigans

On one of my many recent Target runs, I spotted this popcorn cardigan (It’s only $12!), and I knew it would become a style trend! I have to have it! Popcorn cardigans give a fresh perspective to the cardigans we’ve been wearing all winter (such as sherpa), and they are more stylish than simple knits.

6. Faux Leather Earrings

I am becoming addicted to the teardrop faux leather earrings I’ve been seeing, and yet I still don’t own any! (I do have teardrop earrings, but they aren’t leather.) Joanna Gaines has been sporting them, which makes want them even more! They look so rustic and organic, yet fresh, I think I need a pair in every color and luster!

And there you have it! You’ll have to check back next week to see the next 6 fashion trends you have to try! Which of these is your favorite so far?

Hahaha feather business ? but yes. Don’t get like the full feathers. Find things with what I call “feather fringe” details.
