3 Ways to Wear Summer Maxi Dresses in the Fall

Don’t store away your summer maxi dresses! You can totally autumn-ize them with items you already have in your wardrobe! You may recognize this cute striped maxi dress from my summer Instagram roundup. Well, now it can be a part of fall’s roundup, too! Because it’s black and white, you can do so much with it! But since I love blush pink, it’s only natural that I threw on a blush pink leather moto jacket! (See the moment I tried on this beautiful pink jacket.) Throw on some peep-toe heels and you’re ready to head out the door into fall! (Or in this case, in the door. It was raining haha.)

I instantly fell in love with this dress 2 weeks ago in a local boutique. It’s so cute and comfortable that I don’t want to be finished wearing it when September begins! My favorite chunky cardigan takes this tassel maxi seamlessly into the fall! Each of these pieces has boho vibes without being over-the-top, so they marry well together!

PSA: This cardigan is one of my all time favorites and one of the best fashion investments I have ever made (while still being pretty affordable). It was so popular last year that various retailers restocked their shelves (or virtual shelves) with it this season.

So this maxi dress is kind of a faux maxi dress because it’s a jumpsuit. But I categorize it as a maxi because it is so flowy.  See it on me on its own here!

When I spotted this pullover on BlushbyMeli.com, I had to have it. (Blush by Meli is the cutest online boutique ever! Read more about Meli and her boutique.) Once I got it into my closet, I noticed that it really brought out the colors in this jumpsuit, so I thought, why not throw it over top for a casual chic fall outfit! You can swap the sandals for booties, boots, or wedges, but I wear flats a lot (and wear sandals into October), so I slid on my mock Birkenstocks (only $40!).
