5-Minute Makeup (2nd Edition)
After posting this photo of my 5-minute face on Instagram (Are we following each other yet?), I decided to give you more details about my makeup in a blog post. A few of my followers couldn’t believe it only took me 5 minutes to apply my makeup! I want to share my routine since everyone has days where they are either pressed for time or don’t feel like applying a full face. Do you have a 5-minute makeup routine?? I’d love to hear how it compares to mine! Comment below! (If you missed my first 5-minute makeup post, you can check it out here.)

I already told you about L’oreal Studio Secrets Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in this post, but it truly is magic. While I would prefer to put a thin layer of moisture beneath it, this BB cream holds its own in terms of eliminating dryness, and it covers imperfections. For this look, I didn’t even apply concealer or foundation over top to cover imperfections… It’s that good. All it takes is a little blending for [wc_highlight color=”gray”]about 45 seconds[/wc_highlight], and your skin is ready for the rest of your makeup. (Buy it here.)
On the luggage under my eyes, I used Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Concealer + Treatment, which is one of 8 drugstore makeup products worth repurchasing. The applicator makes it so easy to dab the concealer under my eyes, and the pigment has the perfect amount of yellow. It instantly brightens not just my eye area, but my entire face after about [wc_highlight color=”gray”]30 seconds[/wc_highlight]!
To add some color to my complexion, I use L’oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Blush in spiced plum. I have been using this exact blush for more years than I can count! Because it is super blendable, my cheeks look alive with [wc_highlight color=”gray”]10 seconds [/wc_highlight]of work.
Lastly, I need a little highlight. I use Clinique’s Chubby Stick in Hefty Highlight when I am in a hurry because it isn’t messy and I can easily control the amount I apply. In this case, I dabbed my finger on the tip of the stick and applied the shimmer above my blush line, on temples, and under eyebrow arches. Then, I used the actual stick down the bridge of my nose. This took me [wc_highlight color=”gray”]20 seconds[/wc_highlight].

As you can see, I did the 0-minute hair routine. Ha!

It’s no wonder this Lorac Rose Gold PRO Metal Palette is one of the makeup items I am currently crazy about. Since the shades are highly pigmented and last the entire day on my lids, I can get away with applying one colorful shade. In this case, I applied the golden-copper Amber shade all over my lids and added Rose Gold to my creases. Since the shades glide on like butter, this took [wc_highlight color=”gray”]only 45 seconds of applying/blending[/wc_highlight].
I added some black liner to my top lids and black mascara to both sets of lashes, and then I tamed my brows with NYX Tinted Brow Mascara. These 3 tasks took about [wc_highlight color=”gray”]90 seconds combined.[/wc_highlight]

I chose Maybeline ColorSensational Lipcolor because its so moisturizing, which makes it quick and easy to apply. Nude shades are always a must on rushed days! I could apply this lipstick in [wc_highlight color=”gray”]10 seconds[/wc_highlight] without a mirror!

Thanks! This Maybelline lippie and Revlon Super Lustrous are similar and both amazing.
Thanks, girl! You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Haha
Its amazing how little you need and how little time really needs to be spent to still look fabulous! My everyday makeup is usually 5 minutes only because I’m waking up and rushing to get to work lol but I also use mere basics; concealer, liner, mascara, blush and done!
xo, JJ
Haha yea mine is most days, too, but I love when I can spend 15-20 min. Then I really feel good!
Aww thank you! Yes natural is best when applying in a hurry. Less room for errors! ?
