5 Spring Lipstick Colors I’m Wearing for the 2017 Season
While I had fun with festive lip colors this past winter and holiday season, I am happy to be moving on brighter shades for the spring. Although it is still technically winter, I have already been painting my pout with poppy pinks. And since I’ve been enjoying several amazing colors and formulas, I am sharing 5 spring lipstick colors I’m wearing for the 2017 season. You need to try them, too!

From top: Sephora Colorful Gloss Balm in Warrior Princess, Makeup Revolution Salvation Lacquer in More than I could give, Cover Girl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Cream in Parfait, Clinique Almost Lipstick in Pink Honey, Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe Lip Color in Blushing
Are you smiling? How pretty are these lipsticks!

I kind of purchased this one just to meet the free shipping requirement, but it is my favorite of the 5 spring lipstick colors! When I slide on this glossy pink, I instantly feel finished. This lip color is perfect for the days you feel less than stellar.
Aside from looking pretty the moment you apply it, this lipgloss stays put for HOURS. The first time I wore it, I ate a snack and drank water while wearing it. It stayed put for more than 6 hours, and the punchy pink color stained my lips. Even if the gloss wears off, your lips will still have a nice, pink tint!

This shade is the most subdued of the bunch, but some days I like to wear a nude lip. While this lacquer is nude, it still has pink undertones that are strong enough to complete any makeup look (and any outfit).
I really love the color, but the formula isn’t perfect. It’s supposed to be high shine, but after a couple of hours of wear, the formula kind of dries out (and leaves a line around the very inner portion of my mouth). I usually wipe it off and reapply the color.

I was wearing this lip product last summer! The color is so lively and the formula moisturizing, so I had to include it in the bunch for spring of 2017! You can read more about it in Battle of the Drugstore Lip Crayons, as well as find out which similar lip crayon not to buy!

I received this Clinique lippie in a Sephora VIB sample box, so the full version has different packaging (as you will see at the bottom of this post). I love this one because it is sheer but adds enough color to polish your look. It feels great on my lips because it’s got a balm-like texture. It’s shine makes my lips look healthy and renewed, but the formula is not quite a gloss. It’s, well, almost lipstick!

I purchased this Sonia Kashuk gem in Target on a whim because I needed a new lipstick (Don’t we always need a new lipstick???), and I am so happy I did. This formula is so amazingly smooth and creamy, plus it is highly pigmented! And it has SPF! This lipstick can totally replace your tinted SPF balm. Look at the happy hue! The packaging isn’t bad, either!

I was eager to ditch the dark shades and begin sporting the peppy pinks. While I love a fabulous red lip, the pinks are just more me!

Aren’t they so refreshing and vibrant?!
Thanks! It was hard for me too, but I am going with the Sephora 🙂
Thank you! I think you would love it. Its really sheer but definitely provides enough color. As I was doing the post, I realized that I used their other shade, Black Honey, in high school! So it’s been around for awhile haha. Plus, it is perfect for summertime!
I really like the sephora color! I can never find the right bright shade for me.
I think you would look great in that color!! Sometimes I am surprised at how well the bright shades look.
Ohhh I loveee the clinique color. I really should jump out of my nude phase and try some new colors- I’m feeling awfully inspired by this post and of course like you said with spring right around the corner! I also love the way you photographed your lippies with the miscellaneous objects surrounding it…you always do such a good job with that! It’s very girly and eye popping!
xo, JJ
Isn’t it so subtle and clean looking? If you are looking to branch out from the nude shades, that’s the one to start with! Thanks for the compliments on my photos. I am trying to get better at it! xoxo
It is! I feel like every lipstick should have it!
I am a total lipstick addict and love these choices. I agree with you about the M U Revolution Lip Lacquer – it look good for about an hour then goes a bit yucky.
It totally does!! I looove the color, but the formula is a bit thin. I think that is why it gets weird.
