Commercial Audition Outfit

Hey, everyone!  I hope the weekend is treating you well.  If you have followed my blog, you may know that I occasionally do some modeling- mainly print ads and commercials.  Ironically, they rarely involve fashion!

I had an audition the other day for a commercial in which I had to embody the look of a girl attending a big party.  I chose to wear a hot pink Vince Camuto dress that I purchased at Marshall’s about a year ago.  I thought it would be memorable to those booking the models since it is so bright.  I also chose to wear minimal jewelry as to not clutter the look or be a distraction on camera.AuditionOutfitBagGround

I love the cut of this dress.  I feel like the a-line mold is universally flattering, so I am surprised that there were so many of these hanging on the rack at Marshall’s.  Maybe the brand just produced too much overstock?  I don’t know.  But it is made of really good quality and has pockets, and the color is suitable to any season.  I actually wore it out for Valentine’s Day!  (I couldn’t find this particular dress online, but HERE is a blue one with a similar cut.)

Shoes: Nine West; Bag: Gucci

My husband surprised me with the Gucci bag for Christmas two years ago.  How impeccable is his taste?!  The bag has a detachable shoulder strap and bamboo handles.  And the black leather is timeless.

The Nine West shoes have the tiniest of heels.  I am very tall, and I really stink at walking in heels!  I am not a shoe person at all, unless it’s flat and it’s a sneaker.  I have extra narrow feet, and all shoes (even narrows) require my husband to hammer extra holes into the straps so I can tighten them.  Maybe this is a good thing, because if shoes did fit me well, I would be spending tons more money!  (These particular shoes are no longer available, but you can shop similar ones HERE.)

To keep with the party vibe, I decided to try the half-up, half-down topknot style I have been seeing all over Instagram and Pinterest.  I very rarely wear my hair down, nor have I ever worn my hair this way, but I just decided to go for it!  I sure hope it pays off!AuditionOutfitHair

Do you think I chose the right outfit?  I sure hope I did, but there is such a slim chance that I will actually book the job.  But I still had fun!

That’s what’s up in the party section of my wardrobe.  Thanks for reading!
