theBALM Girls Lipstick Review

Hi, everyone!  I hope you had a relaxing weekend in the new BALMY weather we have been experiencing.  (See what I did there??)

While I was out shopping with my mom and my daughters over the weekend (because really, since I couldn’t go to the beach, I was determined to shop…doesn’t take much determination!), I picked up a new lipstick (amongst other affordable and fashionable items- yay!).  The packaging of this theBalm Cosmetics lipstick had intrigued me before, so I finally gave in and bought one.  There were so many beautiful and bright colors to choose from!

Retro vibes

This highly pigmented lipstick acts as a nourishing balm as well, with a subtle vanilla-mint tingle when you first apply it, although it is less slippery than I had imagined it would be.  It took me a few moments to get used to, since the texture was less glossy and more sticky than I usually go for, but I ended up liking it!  It stayed put really well, and my lips had color on them for basically the entire day-  I have discovered that the more densely pigmented lip colors almost double as a lip stain.

The only thing missing from this summery lipstick is the SPF, which I kind of expected it to have given the beach-themed packaging, but it is no problem to throw on a clear, sun-protectant balm underneath.  You’ll for sure stand out on the beach or at the pool with this punchy balm!

That’s what’s up in beauty today.  Did you guys do any shopping this weekend?  I can’t wait to hear about your finds!
